Bringing HSoH to your state
NCHCW offers support to states and communities interested in replicating the ECHO Head Start on Housing project. Working with each state or community NCHCW will assist in customizing the replication process, recognizing that each has unique needs, readiness levels, partnership dynamics, policies, and resources.
The guidance provided will include:
A framework for collecting essential data to assess needs, set goals, and measure progress.
Support in identifying key partners essential for successful replication, and in forming a leadership team with representatives from these organizations.
Collaboration with the leadership team to analyze data, establish goals, and develop a replication plan, including timelines and critical milestones.
Facilitation of 6 to 8 leadership team meetings, which will cover:
Orientation to Connecticut’s ECHO Head Start on Housing project.
Training on relevant topics, including housing, child development, and Head Start policies necessary for replication.
Technical assistance to analyze, enhance, and align policies to ensure successful replication.
Identification and engagement of additional resources critical for success, such as realtors, landlords, sources of donated furniture, utility assistance, and more.
Ongoing discussions to address challenges, find solutions, and strengthen working relationships.
Any other topics requested by the leadership team or community.
Preparation of a final report and plan with recommendations for moving forward, including adjustments based on initial progress, challenges, opportunities, funding needs, and policy adaptations for enhanced success.
